Halley Movement is starting a new project in Mauritius and is currently looking for two (2) interns a full time basis for the following position.

1. Communication Officer
2. Digital video producer

Duration: 4 months or until the project lasts

Starting date: As soon as possible

Communication Officer

Job Description

To coordinate Halley Movement presence in Mauritius and abroad
Ensure that all activities of Halley Movement that need a public profile are communicated to the media, partners and published on our websites
Prepare regular press briefs before, during and after any of Halley Movement’s activities
Brief volunteers on upcoming activities

Requirements:

Must be computer literate
Be able to speak and write in English and French very well
Highly presentable, well spoken and dynamic
Must be proactive and self-driven
6 months experience in relevant field is desirable but not essential

Working style:

Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to set and maintain clear boundaries
Excellent organizational skill; able to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
Able to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment

 

Digital video/graphic producer

Job Description:

Create compelling videos following activities conducted by Halley Movement; Many of these videos will feature animations, graphics, music, voiceovers though some may also feature live-action recordings.  This position will require strong skills in video editing, sound editing, music sourcing and selection, animation and design.

Requirements:

Excellent video and pictures editing skills
Good instincts for thinking graphically
Up-to-date understanding of digital trends and metrics
Collegial and collaborative
Sensitivity to user experience
6 months experience in relevant field is desirable but not essential

Working style:

Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to set and maintain clear boundaries
Excellent organizational skill; able to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
