National Campaign in Mauritius: Capacity building workshops.

Halley Movement & PAN-Mauritius Coalition have launched a capacity building programme to empower rural women and ‘Home Stay’ mothers to have access to ICT technologies for the usage of ‘Helpline Mauritius’: the online counselling service.

This campaign is a multi-stakeholder collaboration with Child marriage as the key issue. Helpline Mauritius: the online counselling service serves as a platform for the users to have access to answers for their queries.

Situation in Mauritius

LAW – CIVIL CODE: The Civil Code requires an individual to be 18 to marry
EXCEPTIONS: There is an exception for individuals who are 16 or more if they get parental consent.
