Mauritius Internet Governance Forum’s first annual meeting was held in Mauritius in November 2017. This one-day meeting on 16th November had as its main theme: ‘Enhancing Digital Trust to Encompass Online Child Safety’.
IGF offered a unique space for stakeholders to lead in making the Internet a better place. Mauritius IGF aims to provide a local forum that engages industry, government, parliament, academia and civil society in debates on Internet Governance issues.
The Event recognises the importance of policies which would both reduce online threats to foster a better a safer internet for children and to better equip children to protect themselves from threats that remain.
