Digital Transformation and Security
Mauritius IGF 2024 launched by H.E. Marie Cyril Eddy Boissezon, G.O.S.K Vice President of the Republic of Mauritius
The theme for IGF 2024, *”Empowering the Next Generation through Digital Transformation and Security,”* guided our exploration of key Internet governance challenges in the region. This year’s forum provided a thorough examination of how digital transformation is reshaping society.
Discussions focused on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of youth, the evolution of digital literacy from both historical and future perspectives, and the critical importance of cybersecurity. Attendees engaged in conversations around integrating AI in education, advancing digital literacy initiatives, and addressing the growing cybersecurity threats facing communities.
Bringing together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from diverse fields, IGF 2024 facilitated the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and best practices. Mauritius IGF continues to drive effective Internet governance, foster local and regional leadership, and promote a more inclusive, secure digital environment for all.
