Training Workshop for Home Stay Mothers
Halley Movement has planned a Training Workshop on Good Digital Parenting for ‘Home Stay’ Mothers on Wednesday 23rd August 2017. The Workshop will take place at Le Morne Community Centre, Le Morne, Mauritius.
This training workshop for ‘Home Stay’ Mothers will focus on the following topics:
- The need for digital parenting in our society
- Digital parenting in practice
- How to identify risks and where to address complaints
- Reporting of online problems

Mauritius Colloquium on Internet and Child Trafficking
Halley Movement together with PAN-Mauritius Coalition will launch the Mauritius Colloquium on Internet and Child Trafficking on Saturday 23 September 2017 in Mauritius. The Mauritius Colloquium is expecting participants from the civil society, business sector and stakeholders involved in the field. The Colloquium will gather experts in ICT, tourism, Child protection and lawyers.

Good Digital Parenting Workshop
Good Digital Parenting Workshop
Halley Movement has planned a “Good Digital Parenting Workshop” for community leaders & parents on 31st October 2016. The Workshop will take place at the Ferney Community Centre, Ferney, Mauritius.
The Good Digital Parenting Campaign was launched in August 2016. Halley Movement and its Coalition will travel to several places in Mauritius and Rodrigues Island to target thousands of parents and disseminate the mission message that ‘We all want to be good parents and raise our children as well as we can’.
Halley Movement will also embark on a research study, a capacity building workshop for leaders and a National Stakeholders Forum.
The Digital Campaign will target parents who will be empowered to gain a strong understanding of the risks, harms and rewards that come with their child being online. The campaign will identify the risks and address ways to mitigate the harms so that parents and children can reap the rewards of digital technology.

International Youth Experience Sharing
Halley Movement will welcome international participants from Republic of China, Pakistan, Estonia, Poland, Egypt, Switzerland, Morocco, Hong Kong and India in an experience sharing exercise, in July, where the participants will showcase the work being conducted in their respective countries with respect to problems facing our children, family and social networking issues.

Celebration of the Day of the African Child 2016
According to the African Union’s Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child the focus of the Day of the African Child 2016 will be on ‘Conflict and Crisis in Africa: Protecting all children‘s rights’ .
Halley Movement & PAN-Mauritius Coalition will be holding an Advocacy Forum at the Excellence House where child focused practitioners will facilitate discussions with violence survivor children, and other children to give them an opportunity to share their views and solutions of eliminating conflicts and crisis and how best their rights could be protected by States.
The DAC Advocacy Forum will be celebrated on Thursday 16th June by Halley Movement.
