Mauritius Environmental Emergency: MV Wakashio oil spill

All News, Announcement, Event Emergency, Mauritius, Oil

Our country is presently facing an ecological disaster where a Japanese-owned ship by the name of MV Wakashio ran aground at Pointe D’Esny at the end of July 2020. Oil from the ship started to leak into the lagoon affecting the fauna and flora, family living on the coastline and those earning a living from the sea are at serious risks.

Halley Movement Coalition is working with other partners to assist during this crisis. Please click here if you wish to help.
