The 21st Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (“COP21”) will take place in Paris, France in December 2015. This international Conference will be of historic significance where countries will have to come up with a universal and binding agreement to limit climate change to 2°C above pre-industrial times.

National Symposium
In view of the new agenda based on the 17 Goals Halley Movement & PAN-Mauritius organised a National Symposium on Sustainable Development Goals – Empowering Mauritius towards the 2030 Agenda on 21st September 2015.
The National event scheduled at Hennessy Park Hotel, Ebene Cybercity. The event started at 1400 hrs.

As the year 2015 is an important year, it is imperative to focus on the objectives for Sustainable Development.
Climate changes, human conflicts, carbon emission, water shortage, were among the issues raised.
In the context of Action 2015, Halley Movement has embarked on several community based activities and it will end by a National Symposium on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on 21st September, 2015.
Halley Movement is inviting interested institutions to join Halley Movement us in this journey.

Action/2015 Mauritius is launching a National Youth Rally on 1st of August as a prelude to sensitise young people for the upcoming SDGs and to celebrate International Youth Day.
Ten selected areas will be visited by young people and three venues have been identified for official ceremonies grouping youths and involving State Ministers and Public figures.
The rally will comprise young people who will travel to various regions of the country in order to discuss youth oriented topics. The topics that will be discussed are as follows:

Youth Rally leading to International Youth Day Celebrations
Halley Movement, in the context of action/2015 Mauritius will be organising a rally comprising of youth on Saturday 1st August 2015 in order to mobilise and sensitise young people towards the celebrations of International Youth Day in Mauritius.
The rally will comprise young people who will travel to various regions of the country in order to discuss youth oriented topics. The topics that will be discussed are as follows:
International Youth Day will be celebrated in the context of Action/2015 Mauritius on Sunday 16th August 2015.The Day will be devoted to a Youth Advocacy Forum with thousands of young people from all corners of Mauritius.
